Sat Jul 18 19:35:35 UTC 2015 <mod6> ben_vulpes: the old one did not, because of perhaps something the ML did to the patch; stripping out an empty line at the end of the file.
Sat Jul 18 19:34:56 UTC 2015 <ben_vulpes> mod6: does the patch not apply cleanly?
Sat Jul 18 19:33:27 UTC 2015 <ben_vulpes> so yeah a patch to excise the wx crap is great and wonderful and thank you etc, but i'd like to see it split from changes to logging behavior
Sat Jul 18 19:33:25 UTC 2015 <mod6> <+punkman> (I did -pU, didn't change anything) << ah ok. git must have stripped that helpful information from the patch. fuck git.
Sat Jul 18 19:14:47 UTC 2015 <mod6> i'm gonna throw in debug_sanity-part1-corrected to my next build/sync test, and look at the output/impact of the patch. i should have some more meaningful comments after that.
Sat Jul 18 18:23:21 UTC 2015 <mod6> for anything to make it into the next release, the patch must be 100% perfect and apply perfect. if I hvae to do any mental gymnastics or gyrations to apply a patch or whatever, it wont make it in. there's already a large enough scope on this release.
Sat Jul 18 18:20:01 UTC 2015 <assbot> [BTC-dev] openbsd patch ... ( http://bit.ly/1MhDb4G )
Sat Jul 18 18:18:34 UTC 2015 <mod6> especially if anyone is helping test or whatever and they need debug_sanity they can just apply the patch to their local codebase.
Fri Jul 17 21:24:15 UTC 2015 <ascii_field> (i forget precisely where. oughta be a patch!)
Thu Jul 16 17:32:15 UTC 2015 <danielpbarron> i think much of the issue is solved with BingoBoingo's patch that lets 0.5.3 bitcoin.conf have a line defining the minimum tx fee for relaying
Wed Jul 15 03:38:55 UTC 2015 <BingoBoingo> Will likely get actual minrelaytxfee patch in first
Wed Jul 15 03:33:48 UTC 2015 <asciilifeform> BingoBoingo: 'getpeerinfo' isn't so hard. consider contributing a patch ?
Tue Jul 14 15:28:19 UTC 2015 <funkenstein_> http://log.bitcoin-assets.com/?date=14-07-2015#1200835 <-- need a patch to nuke all TX relaying
Tue Jul 14 03:27:41 UTC 2015 <asciilifeform> i recall that last we spoke of this, folks signed and noticed that jurov's patch sig widget didn't eat them correctly
Tue Jul 14 03:19:37 UTC 2015 <mod6> asciilifeform: point taken. glad we talked about it. and yeah, very much so read and examine every patch.
Tue Jul 14 02:04:32 UTC 2015 <asciilifeform> ends with the obligatory [install nsa's ] 'Update the BIOS whenever there is a security patch'
Sat Jul 11 01:12:54 UTC 2015 <mod6> asciilifeform: testnet patch looks good at first read-through. i'll apply these to my sources bases (on top of stator + patches { dump/eat block }) and continue testing. i'll also add these to my build-with-patches guide.
Fri Jul 10 18:55:25 UTC 2015 <assbot> Logged on 09-07-2015 22:38:18; asciilifeform: ^^ i dare to suggest that the patch be considered by therealbitcoin ^^
Fri Jul 10 09:11:02 UTC 2015 <BingoBoingo> shinohai: I don't have a formal patch for this, just a recipe in dpaste. Not comfortable enough to formally submit. All it is supposed to do is allow you to set the -minrelaytxfee flag in Bitcoin.conf which isn't a big deal because if you are building it you can just change the number in main.h
Fri Jul 10 07:52:13 UTC 2015 <BingoBoingo> So stator with experimental minrelaytxfee option patch was syncing well as a drop in replacement for previous stator on testbed then laptop became unplugged and battery dead. Restarted with -rescan because BDB hates stopping suddenly and the blockindex is screwed.
