Mon Oct 21 00:59:48 UTC 2013  <kakobrekla>   no he couldnt have done much to ltc, he has sha256 pool not scrypt, not compatible

Mon Sep 30 15:39:15 UTC 2013  <pankkake>   as far as I understand, they would be much more expensive than a sha256 asic, because of the memory requirements

Thu Sep 26 15:05:17 UTC 2013  <kakobrekla>   just change their PoS to sha256 PoW and merge it

Fri Aug 30 16:12:13 UTC 2013  <pankkake>   (late response) if sha256 is efficiently cracked, you have more problems than that

Thu Aug 29 21:17:17 UTC 2013  <jurov>   sha256 is power dense, it just isn't possible to throw 4x more transistors into the same space

Thu Aug 29 21:00:32 UTC 2013  <fractal>   mircea_popescu: if you follow the inevitable logic -- the entity with access to the smallest manufacturing process will control a PoW such as SHA256. There is 1 entity who always has the smallest fab process -- Intel.. they can do 14nm and put the rest out of business. They won't until the US Government asks them to, or until mining is worth $5B / year or so to make it worth it

Wed Aug 28 13:18:06 UTC 2013  <ystarnaud>   idk but if you really wanna mine, go scrypt imo... SHA256 is just saturated

Mon May 20 10:35:26 UTC 2013  <ericmuys_>   buying a few machines that do nothing but hash sha256 don't warrant more than one company. the existing company and new company have one purpose: sha256. would not touch with 10 foot pole.
